Ryan Fuhrman

Board of Directors

Ryan Fuhrman is a trumpet player and educator currently working towards a Masters Degree in Trumpet Performance at the University of Southern California, where he studies with Tom Hooten and Jennifer Marotta. 

Originally from Herndon, Virginia, Ryan has performed as a soloist at the Quarter-Finals of the National Trumpet Competition, with the Brass Band of Northern Virginia, the JazzWorx Big Band, the Cathedral Brass, and has performed in venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and Arena Stage.

In love with learning, Ryan has been fortunate to have had the opportunity to also study with Ray Mase, Josh Kauffman, Ryan Darke, Amy McCabe, Ken McGee, Dennis Edelbrock, Kevin Gebo, and many more who have all contributed greatly to his musical ability as he aspires to get 1% better every day. 

Ryan joins LAB-A’s 2024-2025 Season as a new director, and is excited to contribute to the advancement of the next generation of brass musicians!
